Job Description Vaco is hiring for a Field Service Technician who will sit remote. The client is based in South Florida. PURPOSE The field service technician Installs, Test, Troubleshoot and Repairs mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment in the field to ensure optimum functionality and quality of our products. Document and verifies equipment problems and repairs. DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides field SupportPerforms field repairs, Maintenance and installation of existing and new products.Provide product and maintenance training to customers.Provides on-call technical support to customersAbility to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a yearProvides support to Engineering and R&D: Assists engineers with the building and testing of prototypes.Supports the creation of Assembly, maintenance and installation instructions.Uses electrical and mechanical precision measuring instruments.Operates shop equipment to assist in the fabrication of parts and fixtures.Maintains Prototype inventoryPerform other duties as may be requiredQUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills) High School degree or equivalent ( i.e GED) or related experience and/or trainingTrade education or certificate of operations( preferred)2+ years' experience as an electro- mechanical technicianRequired to read and write English and follow verbal & written instructionsComputer skills, e-mail and general business software (e.g Word, Excel, Outlook,etc)Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environmentOccasionally require to operate machine shop equipment (e.g. lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and similar equipment) |
